Did adidas make all their money from sponsoring European football?

I've noticed that Adidas bought Reebok, sponsors the NBA, sponsor the NY Yankees and some major college football teams.

I know their based in Germany, but how did they make all this money? I assume it has to be from sponsoring European football, but I'd like to know more about it.|||Adidas started as Gebr眉der Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) which was run by two German brothers. The two brothers split after world war two forming their own seperate sporting companies, one came up with Adidas and the other Puma. Adidas went through a period of great expansion during the 80's and 90's and made decisive moves by incorporating other companies into the brand, expanding the scope of their business and moved manufacturing into Asia whcih led to the company becoming a major International brand.

Adidas now has many fingers in many pies by providing clothing and equipment for a vast range of sports and markets its goods by sponsoring famous names, teams and events across the globe.

These include Rugby with the likes of New Zealand's All Blacks and the French national team, Cricket with the Australian and England national sides as well as the London marathon and Olympic games.

But as you predicted by far their largest sponsorship interest is in football (soccer), sponsoring major national teams such as Germany, Argentina, France, Mexico and the world champions, Spain, as well as providing the kits for a number large number of European football clubs including Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayer Munich.

And now they are expanding into the United Stated with sponsorship deals with MLS, NBA and so on.

Hope this answered your question.|||They are advertising themselves by sponsoring all the sports like basketball, football and etc.|||Accually your right! when they were in Germany they sponsored football teams and made their start!
